Home Purchase, Sale and Mortgage Fee Estimate
Residential real estate transactions often involve legal fees and other closing costs that clients may wish to understand in advance. While many residential real estate transactions are highly standardized, the costs associated with a particular transaction can vary depending on its nature and requirements.
To assist clients in understanding the anticipated costs of their transaction, we provide the information request form set forth below. Based on the information provided, we will prepare an estimate of the anticipated legal fees and closing costs associated with the transaction.
Providing complete and accurate information can assist in ensuring that the estimate is as accurate as possible. Where complete and accurate information is provided and the nature of the transaction does not change, estimates are generally accurate. Variations, where they occur, are often related to disbursements incurred in completing the transaction rather than legal fees, unless the scope of work changes.
It is our standard practice to confirm a full estimate, including known disbursements, once all relevant information is available and to advise clients where a matter falls outside the scope of services included in the estimate, including where additional fees may apply.
If you would like to discuss your transaction, obtain an estimate, or retain our office, please complete the form below or contact us directly.
